Oliver Mintz

Oliver was born and raised in New York. He attended West Point, graduated in 1996 and commissioned as an infantry officer. He first assignment was to Fort Hood and the First Cavalry Division. In 2001 Oliver left the active duty and joined the Texas Army National Guard following the attacks of September 11, 2001. He would serve as an active-duty National Guard officer for 20 more years holding two battalion commands and culminating his career as the 36th Infantry Division Chief of Staff. Notably, he served four combat deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, and Kuwait.

Oliver Mintz represents individuals dealing with military administrative issues and discipline as well as family law, estate planning, and civil litigation issues. A retired Colonel with 26 years of service, including time as the Inspector General for the nine southern provinces of Iraq he brings a unique combination of military and legal expertise to bear in solving a multitude of issues confronting military clients.

In addition to a Bachelors degree from West Point, Oliver holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Tyler, a Masters of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College, and a Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law. He has lived in Killeen for 24 years.

He has been married to his wife Vicky for nearly 23 years and they have two sons, the oldest, is a graduate of Baylor University, serves as a Second Lieutenant in the Texas Army National Guard, and is currently in law school. Their youngest son is a member of the Class of 2025 at the United States Coast Guard Academy, in New London, Connecticut.
